Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.
Due to the classified nature of the work involved, there are limited opportunities to work from home in this role. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will spend most of their time (~80%) working on site at AWE Aldermaston.
Package: £37,860 - £70,000 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience)
Junior Engineer - (e.g., recent graduate with limited experience) - £37,860-£39,500
Experienced Engineer - £42,000-£50,000
Senior Engineer - £47,690-£70,000

AWE is currently recruiting for experienced Electronic Engineers.
Working as part of a small team of experienced engineers, this role offers candidates the opportunity to apply their domain knowledge and experience to gain the requisite depth of knowledge of warhead electrical systems so they can apply sound engineering principles to analyse these systems and develop their career with us.
The role includes designing, testing, and fault-finding of electronic hardware, with the requirement to also analyse and assess existing designs.

Analogue circuit design.
Digital support circuit design.
Electronic circuit fault finding.
Circuit simulation and modelling.
Reverse engineering & Data analysis.
Switch mode power supply design (SMPS).
High voltage circuit design considerations & Electrical safety.
Failure Mode Effect Analysis (Design/Product, component level).
Electromagnetics design. Specifically, small form factor transformers.
You'll need to have the ability to work calmly and constructively in a priority changing environment and be able to manage your own workload. You will also have initiative, enthusiasm, a flexible approach, and ability to work to tight deadlines.
